Pyro Optics

At Studio PATCH, I am working on a new version of my fire installation using a large Fresnel lens and a controlled gas flame. The intense brightness of the fire creates striking projections, visible even in daylight. Light bends, fractures, and expands through the lens, transforming flame into a vivid, ever-shifting image. This work is part of Pyro Optics, an ongoing exploration of fire and lens-based projection techniques, where fire becomes image.
